The essence of leadership, is very much felt in the numerous means by which a leader impacts lives directly on his followers. However, in doing so, the leader does not go round blowing his own trumpet. The beneficiaries, usually come out to testify.

It is instructive to note, many people especially in our Ghanaian cultural set up, feel reluctant to approach leaders who offer help today, and go round boasting of same tomorrow.

It is on this premise, that makes *Michael Osei Boateng* stands tall in our current political dispensation. The grassroots, who are the pillar of our party have benefitted numerously from him, but never has been heard boasting of same. He understands that its the grassroots who worked tirelessly to win power for the party and offering help to same people shouldn’t be something one must boast of.

Going forward, we need leaders who are of the view that offering help to the grassroots are part of their duties.
